Prince George, Canada Prince George Hospice Palliative Care Society Full time

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Sell lottery tickets for the Prince George Hospice Palliative Care Society’s Dream Home Lotto.
- Payment transactions by either cash or POS machines
- Reconciliation of sales
- Tracking ticket sales
- Compliance with Gaming Policy
- COVID compliance with vaccine mandate

**Skill**: Must have experience with Cash and in using Point of Sale (POS) machines for transactions.

**Knowledge**: Basic understanding of math.

**Communication**: Requires obtaining and exchanging information, referring inquiries to the appropriate source, or responding to questions from members of the general public. Must have excellent customer service skills.

**Physical Demands**: Requires sedentary work, including continuous sitting or occasional standing and walking for a 5 hr. shift.

Lifting and setting up of portable tables and tents.

Working outside at times.

**Working Conditions**: Requires performing regular job functions under good conditions in a safe working environment. Ticket seller must have own transportation and be able to pick up tickets from one location and then transport them to the ticket selling location. Ticket seller is also required to return tickets at the end of the shift.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**: Completion of high school, GED or equivalent

**Experience**: Minimum one year experience in handling money, work experience involving public contact. Must be 19 years of age or older.

**Criminal Record check required**

**Recommended Work Traits**: Working knowledge of cash transactions and records pertaining thereto. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to establish and maintain harmonious relationships with employees, officials, and the general public. Must be willing to maintain appearance appropriate to assigned duties and responsibilities as determined by the agency. Must have use of a vehicle or reliable transportation to drive from and to ticket selling locations. Must be over 19 years of age or older.
