The Saskatchewan Foster Families Association exists to support and encourage foster families through education and advocacy, helping create healthy homes, positive environments, and brighter futures for children and youth in care across the province. We are currently seeking a part time Childcare Worker to support a Foster Home in Regina SK.
This diverse position performs many tasks that include, but are not limited to childcare, meal preparation, basic house keeping and/or transportation to family visits or activities outside the home.
The successful applicant will be flexible in order to successfully meet the changing demands in the workplace. The chosen applicant will also be confident, self-motivated and an individual who demonstrates reliability, professionalism, and who is courteous and attentive to detail.
Additionally, you will be a team player that is willing to help out as needed. You will be open and accepting of change and be open to continuous learning opportunities.
Location: South end of Regina, successful applicant must be comfortable driving on grid road.
Schedule: 3-4shifts per week (9-15hrs per week) between 5:30-8:30pm (South End of Regina)
3-4shifts per week (15hrs per week) in the evening including weekends
Number of Positions: Hiring 2 people
Qualifications:
- Childcare Experience or education as an ECE or Youth Care Worker; equivalent experience or a combination of both will be considered
- Demonstrate and practice a healthy lifestyle
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with children, supervisors, and partnering agencies and maintain strict confidentiality and appropriate boundaries
- Ability to express ideas and concepts effectively in an oral and written form
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Criminal records Check (Within 3 Months)
Salary ranges from $16.00 to $18.00 per hour; Health Benefits may be available after 3 months of employment
