Line Coordinator

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor(s), the Line Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Line Leader with functions pertaining to the production line. This can include, but is not limited to: Safety, Quality, and Performance. Ensuring the quality of finished products by in-process line inspection and testing according to customer requirements and product specifications.

**Key Accountabilities**:
**Shift Summary**:

- Support the Line Leader with the maintenance of workflow by monitoring steps of the process: Observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; facilitating corrections to malfunctions.
- Support the Line Leader with product quality by establishing and enforcing standards.
- Perform specific in-process inspections based on product/client.
- Coordinate flow of work orders for the line, communicate with Lead Hand(s) on completion of orders and request next order.
- Coordinate hourly rotations.
- Working on the assembly line and rotate through key positions when required.
- Communicate line and personnel issues (Safety, quality, downtime, etc.) to Supervisor or Lead Hand.

**Tasks & Forms**:

- Accurate capture of Labor Ticket by computer
- Accurate capture of line status and detailed comments in Vorne
- Accurate capture of huddle and rotation form
- Recording quantities in production daily logbook
- Assist with label request form (Master/Shipper/Bottom/UPC/Tester)
- Assist with line clearance checklist when required
- Assist with sampling guideline when required
- Finished Goods form
- FR-00293: FG Release Documents Review Liquids (To assist when required)
- FR-00061: Line Clearance / Start-up Verification (To assist when required)
- Areas of focus (Ensuring the following):

- Ensure crew size is always correct for your line based on Line Schematic
- Ensure line is running at target efficiency based on Line Schematic
- Barriers are on the line (if applicable)
- Verify components by Part ID and notify Lead Hand of any shortages
- Crew members are abiding by company policies (Respect/Language)
- Lines are running neat and organized at all times
- Line starts on time after lunch/break
- Crew has been huddled by Line Leader prior to performing tasks
- Assist the Line Leader in training of new employees when necessary
- Assisting with line efficiency, mitigating bottlenecks and reduce scrap (Coded bottles, folded unit cartons, etc).

**Skills, Experience, and Education Requirements**:

- Completion of high school education or equivalent experience within a manufacturing environment, preferably in: cosmetics, pharmaceutical, or other related CPG environments
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a production/manufacturing environment
- Strong leadership skills and/or willingness to learn
- Ability to follow directions with limited supervision
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills (Written and verbal)
- Self-motivated, takes initiative, and proactive
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize
- Detail oriented
- Basic knowledge in math
- Administrative skills
- Decent computers skills

**Nice to Have(s)**:

- Experience working in a GMP environment an asset
- Previous work experience in quality line inspection, an asset

**Physical Requirements**:

- Handling medium to heavy loads
- Must be able to handle a box cutter and tape gun
- Manual dexterity
- Repetitive tasks in fast paced environment
- Standing for long periods of time
