The Hotel Maintenance Manager overseas one other maintenance associate and a Pool Department of 4 to 6 associates. This role is about coordinating daily and weekly tasks and third parties, completing general maintenance tasks, and ensuring the work the associates perform if of acceptable quality.

**Duties**
- Provide ongoing leadership, direction, training and recognition to associates in Maintenance and Pool Department
- Completing general repairs ( drywall repair, painting, replace a toilet, etc.)
- Teach a general maintenance associates and pool associates how to be maintaining equipment and systems in accordance with established processes
- Coordinate minor repairs including wallpaper, painting, woodwork, plumbing and electrical
- Administrative duties; schedules, payroll, maintenance logs, performance journal updates, etc.
- Assist in establishing, implementing, and monitoring standards of service and operation
- Control labour costs, when possible, by effective scheduling
- Maintain grounds including weeding and snow removal where required
- Assist/conduct performance appraisals and performance management as necessary
- When on duty drive hotel guest to airport in hotel shuttle
- Identify and resolve guest concerns/complaints to their satisfaction
- Understand and ensure compliance of all Health and Safety procedures, regulations and laws such as labels on cleaning products, correct ergonomics and ensuring protective equipment is worn when necessary

**Experience**
- Maintenance experience in a hotel or equivalent experience in a related position
- Demonstrated Leadership/Supervisory experience, preferably in the maintenance of buildings
- Must be able to use most power tools
- Must hold valid driver’s license with no restrictions where required by hotel
- Pool Operator’s Certificate, First Aid/CPR an asset

**Environment**
- Interacts/Communicates with guests and fellow associates
- Hotel/outside environment high level of mental effort and attention to detail
- High level of sensory attention; sight and hearing
- Exposure to various cleaning solvents, chemicals, etc.
- Physical demands include but are not limited to walking, standing, reaching, pulling, pushing and lifting up to 80 lbs.
- Manual dexterity required to use tools
- Perform routine, repetitive tasks on a continuous basis
- Working at various heights required
- Available to workdays, evenings, weekends and on a rotating on-call basis
- Overtime as required

**Salary**: $24.00-$26.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- Facilities maintenance: 1 year (preferred)
