BGE Indoor Air Quality Solutions is seeking a passionate and driven Service Technician (Critical Environment Services).

What is Critical Environment Services? Our Critical Environment Services (CES) division enables us to bring clean air solutions to controlled environments with strict design and operational standards all across western Canada. Our goal is to provide a complete package that keeps controlled environments clean, sterile, and safe from external environments.

We’re looking for a mechanically inclined individual with great potential and the right attitude. We’ll provide training on specifics

**What You’ll Do**:

- Install, test, certify, troubleshoot, and repair biosafety cabinets, fume hoods, clean air devices and isolators, laminar flow benches and various other equipment
- Relocate and decontaminate biosafety cabinets
- Inspect and test HEPA filters as required and replacing when necessary
- Perform all maintenance and housekeeping duties associated with all makes of biosafety cabinets, fume hoods and laminar flow benches
- Load and transport equipment to customer locations
- Other duties as assigned

**Hours of Work**:
Hours vary based on customer requirements and availability. Overtime and occasional out of town overnight work will occur.

**What You Bring**:

- Mechanically inclined with strong organizational & problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team environment and independently with safety as a priority
- Personable with good English communication skills, both verbal and written
- All applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment and pre-access drug and alcohol test
- Must possess a valid class 5 driver’s license (non-GDL), clean driver’s abstract, and three years of insured driving history
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Must be authorized to legally work in Canada

**Physical Requirements**:
Climbing ladders (be comfortable with heights); working in confined spaces; lifting up to 23 Kg (50lbs); and working in extreme temperatures and/or dusty environments
