**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Position: Screening Agent**

Reporting to the Manager of Operations, the Screening Agent is responsible for the daily processing of Mintz Global Screening background check services. Our services mainly include verifying references at all levels, driving records, diplomas, professional accreditations, and other services offered by the company.

**Responsibilities**:
As a Screening Agent, your daily responsibilities are the following:

- Execute the verification work using the available tools and remain updated on new services, procedures and applicable laws
- Acquire the necessary consent documents for the requested verification
- Understand clearly the nature and limits of the mandate given by the client
- Conduct regular monitoring according to customer needs and answer their questions on time
- Provide results to the clients according and provide other avenues of research, if necessary
- Make outbound calls and answer incoming calls to complete verifications
- Ensure compliance with the company standards of privacy and security, as well as meeting client services deadline
- Work with your team members to ensure that excellent customer service is provided
- Refer to your team leader for advice, answers to your questions, and advise of any problematic situations
- Perform other duties that may be assigned by one of your supervisors

**Required Qualifications**:

- Knowledge and Education_
- Degree of a college/high school recognized in Canada
- Typing ability (minimum typing speed) of 30 words per minute.
- Experience, Skills and Abilities_
- A minimum of one year of experience in customer service
- Experience in recruitment or HR (an asset)
- Excellent computer skills, web, a conventional database, or other tool to perform audits
- Strong organizational skills, autonomy, detail-oriented
- Capacity to clearly communicate research results
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Aptitude to work both in a team and individually
- Ability to work in a changing environment

**Salary**: From $16.40 per hour
