Family owned butcher shops -

The Butcher / Meat Cutter will be responsible for the following duties:

- Cut, trim, and prepare cuts of meat for sale in showcases/meat counters and according to customers' orders
- Grind meats and slice cooked meats by means of powered grinders and slicing machines
- Shape, lace and tie roasts and other meats, poultry and wrap prepared meats and poultry
- Manage inventory, records of sales and determine amount, product line and freshness of products according to company and customer requirements
- Prepare meat displays
- Ensure food storage conditions and safety standards are met
- May supervise other butchers and team members
- Ability to work at both Seafair Meats (Richmond) and Newmans Fine Food (Delta) location
- Other duties and responsibilities as required

Employment requirements
- Completion of Grade 12
- Completion of a college or other meat-and-fish-cutting training program, OR a three-year meat cutting apprenticeship may be required OR Journeyman/Journeywoman / Red Seal as butcher from any jurisdiction
- Fluent in English
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
- Able to work daytime on weekdays & weekend
