**ABOUT THIS CAREER OPPORTUNITY**

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Clean, sweep, mop, and wash floors, stairs, equipment and other surfaces.
- Operate floor scrubber / Zamboni, steam cleaners, polishing machines, and upholstery cleaning equipment.
- Strip and wax floors, shampoo, vacuum and deep clean carpets/rugs.
- Disinfect high touch points.
- Replenish dispensers including: paper towel, soap, hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes, air freshener, etc.
- Empty trash cans and other waste containers, replace liners.
- Wash interior and exterior windows, interior walls and ceilings (work from ladder).
- Change overhead light bulbs and clean light fixtures (work from ladder).
- Monitor and report any damage, vandalism, building repairs to the Operations Coordinator.
- Adhere to safe work practices.
- Perform snow and ice removal from doorways, building entrances, access stairs, and walkways.
- Complete pre-job hazard assessments, cleaning checklists, refusal logs, and other paperwork as required.
- Other duties as assigned.

**WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**
- Previous custodial experience considered an asset.
- Experience working from heights considered an asset.
- Experience operating light equipment considered an asset.

**SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS**
- Must have the ability to lift 50lbs.
- Must be able to walk indoor and outdoor for long distance.
- Must be able to move by bending, crouching, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, lifting and rotating.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills to deal with building occupants, colleagues and trades.
- Able to perform repetitive motion tasks.
- Must be able to lift and push heavy objects, including large garbage bins, office furniture and small appliances.
- Comfortable with working overhead and working from heights including ladder.
- Should hold a valid G Driver's License and able to retain a clean vehicle record check.
- Comfortable wearing Steel toe work boots during their shift.
- Comfortable doing medical grade cleaning, working with blood borne pathogens and lead.
- Comfortable using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as N90 masks, half mask respirators, rubber gloves, and/or disposable coveralls.
