**The Company**: Smart Start daycare, established in 2015, is a highly professional licensed home-based daycare that provides quality educational care in a small group setting. Owned and operated by an Ontario certified elementary teacher, this daycare abides by Ontario's How Does Learning Happen pedagogy and the CCEYA(2014).
**The Position**: we're looking for a registered Early Childhood Educator available up to 30-40 hours each week.
**The Responsibilities**: must have strong management skills, and a creative and nurturing temperament in order to:
- Utilize HiMama system for daily reporting and record keeping (training available)
- Participate in weekly check-in meetings with owner
- Implement and deliver child-centered programming
- Support children and families in child's development
- Serve pre-prepared meals (2 snacks and 1 lunch
- Ensure COVID-19 and all other health safety regulations are upheld
**The Requirements**: must be passionate about working with preschool children (ages 1 - 4) in a high energy environment
- Minimum one year work experience
- ECE certification
- Vulnerable sector criminal reference check
- Valid first aid and CPR level C
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
- Punctual, responsible and show initiative
**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 40 per week
**Salary**: $19.50-$22.00 per hour
