**Job Title: Line Cook**

**Location**: Ontario, Canada
**Reports To**: Owner/Kitchen Manager

**Overview**

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Q**C: Quick Cook & Quality Control** to join our team at Apothecary Kitchen. The Line Cook plays a critical role in preparing high-quality, plant-based meals, maintaining food safety and sanitation standards, and ensuring smooth day-to-day kitchen operations.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes with accuracy and consistency.
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies before service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, including proper food storage and labeling, and contributing to the daily cleaning and maintenance of our facility.
- Support the kitchen team with prep tasks, portioning, and plating.
- Uphold and enforce food safety and sanitation procedures at all times.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure timely service and smooth workflow.
- Assist with inventory rotation, reporting and replenishing low stock.
- Support training of junior staff or new hires in proper cooking and safety procedures.
- Maintain a professional and positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
- Can effectively manage 3-8 chits at a time.

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience as a Line Cook or in a professional kitchen (plant-based cooking experience an asset).
- **Safe Food Handler Certification** (required or willingness to obtain within first 2 weeks).
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with standard kitchen equipment.
- Ability to follow recipes and procedures with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong time management and ability to **multitask under pressure**.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
