Our client Houselink & Mainstay Community Housing is hiring a new Manager, People and Culture to join their team in Toronto, ON (Hybrid) on a full-time, permanent basis.

Houselink & Mainstay Community Housing is Toronto’s leading non-profit supportive housing agency. With 53 residential locations and over 1,100 units, we are committed to creating inclusive communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. Our team is dedicated to addressing homelessness and advocating for lasting solutions, and we work collaboratively to make a difference in the lives of our tenants and community.

We are looking for an experienced Manager, People and Culture who is passionate about fostering an inclusive and dynamic workplace. Join us and contribute to our mission of building strong communities across Toronto.

**The Role**:
As the Manager, People and Culture, you will be responsible for shaping and implementing the organization’s HR strategies. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will lead initiatives that support talent acquisition, employee engagement, health and safety, DEIA (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Access), and total rewards. Working within a highly collaborative HR team, you’ll play a crucial role in fostering a supportive environment where employees are empowered to achieve organizational goals.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead all aspects of the employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to performance management and development.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to management, providing guidance on HR policies, workforce planning, and labour relations.
- Support culture-building initiatives and promote values of respect and inclusion across all levels of the organization.
- Oversee health and safety programs, ensuring compliance and safeguarding staff well-being.
- Manage the HR team, including Payroll & Benefits, HR Generalist, and Systems Coordinator, ensuring effective HR service delivery.
- Drive organizational learning and development programs, identifying opportunities for employee growth.
- Collaborate with managers to design and implement engagement programs that align with organizational goals.

**What You Bring**:

- Bachelor’s degree in HR Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- CHRP or CHRL designation preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of HR management experience in a unionized environment, with a strong understanding of employee and labour relations.
- Proven ability to lead HR strategies that foster employee engagement and a positive workplace culture.
- Knowledge of HRIS systems, payroll administration, and benefits management.
- Strong communication skills, with experience in conflict resolution and coaching.
- A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, client-focused environment.
