**Position Overview**

The Communication and Dockage Coordinator's primary responsibility is to effectively communicate with internal and external customers, maintain social media accounts and website, and coordinate dockage. They are responsible for maintaining business and operational standards in an administrative and co-operative leadership role. The position requires superior customer service skills, and a high-level of communication skills through various mediums.

**Essential Job Functions**
- Provide exceptional, friendly and professional customer experience to all marina patrons
- Primary agency over social media accounts and website
- Primary agency over marketing and communications
- Agency over coordinating dockage for customers
- Receive and process incoming payments from customers
- Maintain and organize high volume data entry and processing
- Assist with retail sales, special events, and coordinating dockage
- Take and organize reservations over the phone, in person and online
- Secondary agency over all administrative functions in regards to Spring Launch and Fall Haul Out
- Assist in creating or revising standard operational policies, procedures, and expectations in collaboration with managerial departments
- Photograph and map marina landscape and other locations as requested
- Provide timely communication updates when necessary to staff and customers
- Maintain and update social media accounts
- Maintain accuracy of the company website
- Supervise and delegate seasonal staff on fuel dock during some weekends or when coverage is necessary
- Retain accurate customer profiles, both paper and electronic
- Operate all office equipment and office machines
- Carry out any additional duties that may be requested by management

**Requirements**:

- Must be available to work Monday to Friday, five days a week, including some weekends
- Organizational skills and ability to prioritize
- Experience with supervising small teams is an asset
- Post-secondary degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or Office Administration is an asset
- Possession of a valid First Aid and CPR Certification is an asset
- Must possess superior leadership skills
- Must possess superior customer service skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Must work well as a team and individually
- Must have proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Detail-oriented and works with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in the marine industry is an asset

**Other Skills and Abilities**:

- Continually strive to meet the Hindson Marina standard of customer experience
- Follow, understand and practice all Hindson Marina policies and procedures (ex: workplace health and safety, environmental, vacation, time off, etc)
- Report any incidents and/or accidents directly and immediately to your supervisor

**Working Conditions**:

- Required to move, lift, carry, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 30lbs without assistance
- Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period or for an entire shift
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting and pulling
- Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces
- Potential significant exposure to varying weather conditions
- May encounter excessive noise from boat engines and equipment
- May encounter obnoxious smell from wastewater, gasoline and diesel fuel
- May encounter hazardous materials, dangerous or toxic substances and chemicals
