**Summary**
The HR Generalist supports the human resources department by performing various administrative tasks and assisting with HR functions. This role is instrumental in maintaining organized personnel records, facilitating recruitment processes, and ensuring smooth day-to-day HR operations.
**Job Duties**
- Leads and promotes healthy and safe work practices as required by regulatory agencies and Company policy.
- Maintain and update employee records, including personal information, attendance, and performance evaluations.
- Prepare and distribute HR-related documents such as offer letters, contracts, and policies.
- Post job openings on HRIS system ADP and various platforms.
- Assist in new employee orientation, including paperwork and onboarding.
- Conduct exit interviews and ensure a smooth departure process for departing employees.
- Address basic employee inquiries and provide information on HR policies and procedures.
- Escalate more complex issues to HR manager.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR databases and spreadsheets.
- Generate reports and assist with HR analytics.
- Ensure compliance with HR laws and regulations.
- Maintain confidential employee files and records.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
**Requirements**:
- Post secondary diploma or degree in Human Resources required.
- Minimum 3 - 5 Years of experience in a Human Resources Generalist role - manufacturing environment would be considered an asset.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for data analysis, document creation, and presentation.
- 3 - 5 years ADP Workforce Now would be considered an asset.
- Ability to practice sound independent judgment and exercise intuitive behavior.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, time management and computer skills
- The ability to collaborate with all levels of the organization.
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Knowledge of HR laws and regulations.
**Work Conditions**
- This position is Onsite Full time - Georgetown, Ontario
- Sitting for long periods of time.
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
