Formations Inc. is hiring an **Outside Sales Representative** to support our Langley location.

**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Proactively make outgoing calls and visits to generate sales
- Must be willing to promote Formations extensively and accurately of our panels, doors and design products
- Prepare responses to RFP (request for proposals) and RFI (request for information) within requested timelines
- Identify barriers that prevent or restrict Formations from growing business and market share
- Identify solutions and strategies that overcome these barriers.
- Use CRM to ensure updated customer profiles and product pipelines are accurate and relevant
- Network with customers to provide material that fits the manufacturer’s needs
- Develop trusted business relationships with influencers at all Formations accounts within their territory and network with designers, architects, builders, contractors, dealers, etc.
- Submit a variety of sales status reports as required, including activity, closings and follow-up;
- Input Competitive Analysis including competitive product pricing & details in CRM
- Monitor and advise of stock requirements with purchasers, especially on program business to ensure customer orders can be fulfilled on time
- Quote materials specific to projects by working between vendors and customer
- Utilize CRM to establish customer interaction history, track projects and further product knowledge
- Interact with other sales reps, branch managers, and distribution personnel to maximize results & keep everyone informed throughout the complete process.
**Secondary Functions**:
- Calculate margin to achieve sell prices based on costs
- Maintain knowledge of competitor’s and their products and identify and report intelligence on competitor pricing or marketing strategies
- Schedule and submit quarterly target to establish minimum customer contact within territory (in person/phone) and develop action plans for follow up as required
- Continually self-educate and participate in training sessions of Formations products to enable expert consultation with customers
- Day and overnight trips across your region are required
- Provide timely and accurate technical information for product specifications
- Follow up to ensure product specifications are held throughout project bid and manufacturing process

**Job Requirements: (In order of importance)**
- Extensive experience in sales and developing new accounts (3+ years)
- Previous work experience in the Wood-Working industry
- Experience in Industrial Sales
- Presentation skills
- Multi-tasking

- Excellent selling and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated and driven to continuously improve and add value to the organization
- Able to work under pressure
- High sense of urgency to set and achieve monthly and annual goals

- Gross profit achieved versus budget and year over year sales growth
- Number of quality, in-person calls logged per day
- Number of quality prospects added per month
- Number of interactions/touches logged per day
- Number of orders secured monthly based on specifications earned on Formations products
