**WHAT YOU’LL DO**:
**The**Lead Clinical Informatics**is responsible for leading the optimization, implementation, and advancement of PRHC’s Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) system and related clinical technologies. This role provides expert-level support, leading large-scale EHR enhancement projects, workflow optimizations, and training initiatives to improve clinical efficiencies and patient outcomes. The Lead Clinical Informatics serves as a key advisor to leadership and a mentor to Clinical Informatics Specialists,**fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.**

**The Lead Clinical Informatics works closely with end users, leadership, Enhance Ontario (Regional Team), and hospital partners to improve the functionality and integrity of the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, Epic. This role is responsible for leading complex informatics projects, providing expert-level support, and championing system optimization initiatives to enhance clinical efficiency and patient outcomes.**

**The Lead provides advanced troubleshooting and tier 2 support for clinical users, working with various internal and external stakeholders to develop, optimize, and strategically align Epic workflows, configurations, and builds with the evolving needs of clinical staff. The role ensures effective system utilization through advanced user training, mentorship, and the development of system supports that enhance PRHC’s ability to deliver safe and effective patient care.**

**Peterborough Regional Health Centre partners with six health organizations using a single instance of Epic, supported by the regional team, Enhance Ontario. This role requires strong participation and interpersonal relationships with these partners to ensure PRHC's needs are met, act as an influential partner at regional tables, and ensure the EHR is used as a tool to improve clinical care across the region.**

**WHAT YOU’LL BRING**:

- **Post-secondary degree or diploma in**Health Informatics, Nursing, Pharmacy, or related field **required**
- **Master’s degree in**Health Informatics or Healthcare Administration **preferred**

**-**Clinical Certification (RN, RPN, Lab Tech, Pharmacy Technician) required**
- **7+ years of experience in**clinical informatics, EHR optimization, or healthcare IT **required**
- **Epic Builder certification required**
- **Advanced Epic certification (Application Specialist, Project Manager, or Builder) preferred**
- **PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent project management certification preferred**

**WHO YOU ARE**:
**-**Strong leadership, project management, change management, and analytical skills, with the ability to influence and mentor.**
- **Experience in**Epic Cogito reporting, data analytics, and advanced clinical decision support **.**
