**Position Summary**

**Education**
- Currently enrolled in Horticulture, Landscape, Agriculture, Forestry or related degree/diploma.

**Knowledge/Skills/Requirements**
- Familiarity with basic ornamental plant identification and maintenance practices.
- Past experience working in a greenhouse, garden centre, nursery or for a landscaping company is an asset.
- Proficient in MS Office 365 products (Excel, Word, etc.,)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven initiative and attention to detail.
- Must be able to follow directions and work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Adaptable to a fast-paced environment
- Ability to meet the physical requirements associated with the position.

**Responsibilities**
- Planting of annuals, perennials, trees, and shrubs in a systematic manner.
- Labeling and arranging trays methodically and systematically.
- Assembling and attaching plant labels.
- Precise watering according to each plant’s needs.
- Data collection, measuring plants, accurately recording measurements, data entry.
- Perform greenhouse crop upkeep tasks including pruning, deadheading, clipping, spacing, and tying up of plants.
- Garden maintenance including weeding, cultivating, fertilizing, mulching, raking; watering.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization within the greenhouse for an optimal working environment and preventing conditions that compromise plant health.
- Monitoring for disease, pests, and other changes in plant health.
- Other duties as assigned.

**Working Conditions**
- Outdoor work in all weather conditions.
- Working in greenhouse environment.
- Must be able to perform physically demanding work on an ongoing basis including walking and standing, often on hard surfaces, bending, pushing, pulling, carrying, and lifting up to 20 kg.

Must have your own transportation, public transit is not available.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Seasonal, Internship / Co-op

**Salary**: From $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
