Riverside Concrete Forming Ltd. is a progressive concrete forming company based out of London Ontario with projects across Southwestern Ontario. Since our establishment in 2017, we have experienced significant growth, creating the opportunity for an experienced **Human Resources/Health & Safety Manager **to join our growing team.

Reporting to the President, the **Human Resources/ Health & Safety Manager **will be responsible for our HR functions as well as assist with Health and Safety functions in ensuring smooth and efficient business operations. The position will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities, helping us to plan and administer important functions, such as staffing, training and development, compensation and benefits as well as Health and Safety functions including WSIB case management.

- This position is a full-time permanent position based on a 40 hour work week Monday to Friday

**Responsibilities**:

- Contribute to the development, execution and upkeep of personnel and health and safety policies and procedures, providing guidance and interpretation for business operations
- Participate in development of HR objectives and systems, including metrics, queries, and standard reports for ongoing company requirements
- Assist in the development and administration of employee performance programs
- Assist and participate in the recruitment, selection and support the training processes including the scheduling and facilitation of new worker orientation for both non-union and union employees.
- Participate in the termination process, whether for cause or otherwise, and conduct exit interviews for voluntary resignations when applicable
- Act as a first point of contact in employee relations matters for both management and staff and provide an effective and dedicated HR advisory service to employees in relation to absence and health issues, conduct and capability, grievance matters, WSIB claims, organizational change, and all other employee-relations matters
- Prepare formal communications to employees and reports as required
- Stay current in relation to employment law and best practices in human resources management
- Assist with ensuring compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act/Regulations and audits on job sites when called upon.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive personnel records including health and safety training records and requirements and ensure training is up to date and compliant
- Prepare and manage WSIB cases and all injury incidents.
- Act as a backup for Payroll
- Assist in development and planning of employee recognition events
- Other duties, as required

**Skills and Qualifications**
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources - CHRP considered an asset
- 4 years’ experience in Human Resources and Health and Safety in construction preferably
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations including Workplace Health and Safety Legislation; WHMIS; etc.
- Self-starter with strong prioritization and time management skills
- Proven teamwork and maturity with a strong work ethic
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Experience in a unionized environment is an asset

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
