We are looking for a skilled and innovative Web Development Intern to lead the design and development of a centralized digital platform aimed at simplifying financing options for homeowners and small-scale developers pursuing secondary suites and multiplex conversions. This project addresses a critical need for accessible, comprehensive resources in the housing sector, empowering users with the tools to make informed decisions and driving visibility for financial institutions, government programs, and innovators.
This is a paid internship opportunity from January to March, either part-time or full-time, working 20-40 hours/week.
What you'll do

**Responsibilities**:
**Website Design & Development**: Create an intuitive, user-friendly website that aggregates financing options, pathways, and expert resources. The site will likely be built in Webflow.
**AI Tooling & Experimentation**: Work with AI and data aggregation tools to build specific capabilities and features into the web platform.
**Search Engine Optimization (SEO)**: Optimize website content and structure to enhance visibility and discoverability online.
**Integration of Digital Tools**: Research, evaluate, and integrate technical tools and features (e.g., calculators, interactive guides) to improve user experience and functionality.
**Content Management**: Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure accurate, relevant, and engaging content on the platform.
**Data Security & Performance**: Ensure the platform's security, scalability, and efficiency, with ongoing maintenance and updates.
What you'll need

**Qualifications**:
Proven experience in website design and development (portfolio required).
Proficiency in web development languages (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and platforms (e.g.,Webflow, etc.)
Experience with AI / GenAI tools
Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices.
Experience integrating and implementing digital tools and third-party APIs.
Excellent research skills to identify and incorporate relevant tools and resources.
Interest in affordable housing, financing mechanisms, and urban development is a plus.
