Role Summary

The Golf Course Maintenance Attendant’s job duties include a variety of tasks that facilitate the construction of the golf course as well as maintain the condition of the course for play.

**Responsibilities**:

- Continuous manual labour including raking, digging, grading and heavy lifting and carrying
- Operation of various golf maintenance equipment for mowing tees, greens, fairways, rough, weed eating and leaf blowing
- Responsible for watering sod, seed, trees and required areas using hoses and sprinklers
- Maintain sand bunkers with hand tools, such as rakes and shovels
- Accountable for using a variety of hand tools to dig and repair holes on the course
- Daily debris and garbage collection throughout the golf course
- Equipment operation including skid steers, golf carts, tractors, light utility vehicles and mowing equipment
- Compliance with all safety regulations of assigned tasks, and ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the health and safety program
- Adhere to all environmental policies and programs as required
- Other duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- Valid driver’s license
- Previous landscaping experience
- Golf course experience an asset but not necessary
- Must possess excellent customer service skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented and works with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Must be extremely responsible with integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion

Working Conditions
- Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Required to move, lift, carry, pull and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance
- Stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire shift
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting and pulling
- Move over sloping, uneven or slippery surfaces
- Significant exposure to varying weather conditions
- Will encounter obnoxious smell from waste water, gasoline and diesel fuels
- Will encounter hazardous materials, dangerous or toxic substances and chemicals
- May encounter excessive noise from engines and equipment
- Work area is located alongside deep water
