Kontur is growing and is seeking a _**Materials Lab Testing Technician**_ to become part of Kontur’s team. This position will be based at the main, Port Coquitlam, location. This is an hourly permanent position, with the expectation of full-time hours.

**Job Responsibilities will include, but not limited to**:

- Routine Laboratory Testing (Marshall and Superpave mixes);
- Aggregate, soils and concrete laboratory testing as needed;
- Crush control for suppliers in mobile laboratory as needed;
- Conducting Laboratory tests according to testing procedures;
- Using, cleaning and maintaining various types of equipment;
- Ability to travel and work remotely as needed;
- Other requested administrative or miscellaneous tasks requested by your supervisor.

**Job Requirements**:

- Must have a valid BC driver's license.
- Must have an ability to lift and control weights up to 22 kgs/50 lbs.
- Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must be available for shift work (day/night).
- Must be available to travel and work away from the main office/laboratory periodically.
- Must be available to work outdoors and in all weather condition, when safe to do so.
- Must have at least a Grade 12 High-school Diploma.
- Post-secondary certificates or training an asset.
- CCIL Certification is an asset.
- Previous TDG Training and experience using a Nuclear Gauge an asset.
- Lab experience is an asset.

Hourly wages will be commensurate to experience. This position is also eligible to participate in Kontur’s Group Benefits, performance incentives, and Continued Professional Development plans/policies.

**Salary**: $20.00-$36.00 per hour
