**Shalom Downtown** is looking for an experienced permanent **part time an ECE teacher to join our team**

We are looking to fill **1* position in our play -based and child-led center in our **Preschool program*. Our fantastic team of educators fosters collaboration, a strength-based perspective, and communication with the child and their care at the forefront of our focus.

**In addition to working with 8 kids, you will cover the teachers' full-time when needed.**

**Job Requirements**
- Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest.
- Support early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive emotional and social development of children.
- Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing activities.
- Planning programming and curriculums based upon age and children’s needs
- Creating opportunities for learning and growth, setting up environments for young children
- Supervising and caring for children and complying with ratio
- Following Shalom Daycare policies and procedures and the ECEBC Code of ethics
- Working as a team player alongside other staff and families
- Work calmly in a high-stress environment when necessary
- Ability to lift young children for care and changing
- Demonstrate commitment to ongoing professional development
- General clean-up of classroom

**Requirements**:
BC license to Practice ECE educator certificate, criminal record check, references, and CPR

ECE - $24-23$/hr.

**(Does not include wage enhancement, $6/hr.)**

Schedule: 8:00 am - 11:00 am or 9:00-5:00, Monday - Friday
