Victoria BC VX J, Canada Blossom Early Childhood Center Full time $29,400 - $31,800 per year

We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator (Lead ECE) to join our multi-age program (7 children aged 2.5–4 years old). We will consider moving forward should an exceptional candidate apply. We are specifically looking for an educator with experience working in a licensed childcare setting.

The ideal candidate will be nurturing, creative, and knowledgeable about BC Licensing rules and regulations, helping us maintain a safe, engaging, and compliant learning environment.

Please note: We can only consider applicants who hold a valid ECE or Infant/Toddler certification in British Columbia. We do offer LMIA or BC PNP support, but candidates must already be legally eligible to work in Canada at the time of application.

At this time, we are unable to accept ECEA certifications or applications from individuals residing outside of Canada or BC.

Position Details

Work Term: Full-time, Permanent

Start Date: January 5th, 2026

Language: English

Experience: Minimum 2+ years in BC (or equivalent experience)

Setting: Licensed Child Care Centre

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement programs that support children's physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development
  • Lead engaging activities such as storytelling, singing, arts and crafts, and local outings
  • Encourage creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and movement
  • Support children in developing healthy habits in eating, dressing, and toileting
  • Observe, document, and assess each child's development and communicate regularly with families and colleagues
  • Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
  • Ensure daily practices meet licensing requirements and safety standards
  • Work collaboratively with team members and community partners

Requirements

  • Valid ECE or ECE Infant/Toddler certification in BC
  • Two reference letters
  • Strong understanding of BC Child Care Licensing Regulations
  • Clear Criminal Record Check
  • Up-to-date immunization records

Pay: $29.00-$31.00 per hour
