**Data Scientist, Sports Betting R&D Team**

**Full Time**

**Who are we looking for?**

We are looking for a hardworking Data Scientist to join our friendly team of researchers and developers in a full-time position. We hope you will have a passion for sports analytics, strong data science skills, and a creative, persistent approach to problem solving.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, build, and deploy machine learning models
- Build and automate robust scrapers
- Integrate with external APIs to automate data collection
- Maintain and grow our relational database

Duties will be split between data collection and research and development. That being said, because we are rapidly growing, there is much variety in day-to-day tasks, so every workday will be a little different.

In general, you will be

1. Using Python to collect, process, and store data in our SQL database

2. Developing, testing, and evaluating predictive models used for betting.

We are always innovating and testing new ideas and approaches, so we hope you are eager to contribute creative solutions to improve our processes and models.

Qualifications:

- Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field
- 3+ years of technical experience
- Proficiency in Python
- Strong background in data science (including regularization and model evaluation)
- Experience using Git
- Experience using AWS
- Background in Statistics
- Experience with databases, including building advanced SQL queries
- Strong verbal and written presentation skills
- Ability to creatively problem solve
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated

**Salary**: $70,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
