**Who is a Community Engagement Team Lead?**:
In addition to performing the duties of the Community Engagement Professional, this Team Lead role will provide support to the management team as required. Such support may include, but is not limited to, the training, mentoring and forecasting of upcoming coverage needs
Team Leads assist people with developmental disabilities to find a satisfying and purposeful place in their community and support them in enhancing their quality of life, promoting personal growth, assisting with activities of daily living, honoring personal choice and informed decision-making, and implementing individualized plans with attainable outcomes.
This Community Engagement Team Lead Role will act as a liaison between the other Team Leads and the Community Engagement Team to ensure that the information regarding all opportunities are shared across all Adult Services.
**Job Duties**:
**Program Coordination**:
- Support the Community Engagement Senior Coordinator in planning and coordinating community participation programs and activities.
- Participate in the planning process for individuals and assist in the development of strategies to achieve the plan.
- Deliver individualized training and care for individuals in compliance with healthcare professionals’ instructions and other specific guidelines.
- Provide back-fill coverage for unexpected call offs or for other events as determined by management.
- Maintain current standing in required courses.
- Other duties as delegated by the Manager and Community Engagement Senior Coordinator.
**Staff Support** **& Training**:
- Provide support to staff involved in community participation programs.
- Provide orientation, and training to staff, students volunteers f as requested and required by the employee or manager
- Share skills and knowledge with co-workers and promote positive growth of team and individuals. Promotes team building
- Report staff concerns to the Manager as needed
- Support the Community Engagement Senior Coordinator and Manager as needed.
- Assist with program activities and participants support.
**Participant Engagement**:
- Engage participants in community activities.
- Assess participants interests and preferences to tailor activities.
- Provide support and encouragement to participants during activities.
- Assist individuals in understanding and exercising their rights in a safe and responsible manner
- Promotes independence and quality decision-making, in daily activities, such as work, learning, and leisure
- Promote people’s inclusion in the community’s experiences and activities
- Coordinate with external partners to enhance program offerings.
- Advocate for participants needs and interests within the community.
**Resource Management**:
- Manage resources and materials for community participation programs.
- Identify and report additional resources as needed.
**Reporting and Documentation**:
- Maintain accurate records participation.
- Prepare reports on outcomes and effectiveness.
- Ensure compliance with agency policies and procedures.
- Operating agency’s vehicles in compliance with company policies and governmental statutes
- Complete maintenance requests as needed
- Promote fiscal responsibility
- Encourage safety and well-being of self and others
- Maintain professionalism in all aspects of duties
- Attend and Participate in team meetings and engage in group discussions
- Work collaboratively with Manager and Community Engagement Senior Coordinator to ensure programs and services are delivered in accordance with E3’s Policies and Procedures and in compliance with Ministry Standards.
**Participant and Family Communication**:
- Communicate with participants and families about program activities and schedules.
- Report to manager and coordinator any issues or concerns that families or participants may have.
