**NORTH VANCOUVER, BC -** The Houseperson maintains the highest standards of cleanliness on the Hotel property and in the building. The Houseperson contributes to the success of the Hotel by performing the following duties:

- Immediately upon arrival conducts floor check to determine if any area requires immediate cleaning attention
- Vacuuming all guest floor hallways
- Dusting of all the spot lights
- All ice and pop machine vending areas (including removal of garbage)
- Cleaning all linen rooms
- Clean ceiling vents in guestrooms
- Remove scuff marks from walls
- Exchanging shower curtains and liners in guestrooms
- Delivering and removing cots and cribs to/from guestrooms
- Cleaning ceiling vents in guestrooms
- Rotating mattresses in guestrooms

**Runner Duties**:

- The runner will be responsible for the transportation of clean and soiled linen to and from guest floors
- Maintaining the organization of all Housekeeping storage areas
- Collection and disposal of garbage and recyclable materials from Room Attendants
- Handling all Room Attendant requests within department guidelines
- Washing and delivery of glasses and coffee cups to guest floors
- Efficient and courteous handling of all guest request

**Public Area Duties**:*
- Checking all public and staff washrooms
- Checking cleanliness of Executive offices
- Ensuring cleanliness of Lobby and Public Areas
- Cleaning of stairwells between ground and the 11th floor
- Cleaning of compactor area and loading dock
- Exterior walk around of property
- Cleaning of elevators and tracks from ground to the 11th floor
- Cleaning of locker room area
- Cleaning of Housekeeping area
- Monitor and polish all chrome
- Cleaning of all public and house telephones
- Maintain granite in all areas
- Vacuum and spot clean floors where necessary
- Maintain furniture
- Check meeting room entrances for cleanliness
- Change shower liners and curtains in pool area and locker room
- Other Duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- Must have a passion for delivering outstanding service
- Self-motivated, decisive, responsible and driven to achieve goals
- Must be a team player
- Strong interpersonal skills, exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Ability to think independently, possess good judgment, proven problem-solving skills and effective decision-making skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Must be organized and detail oriented
- Strong multi-tasking skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, weekends, holidays and overnight shifts
- Fluent in English. Proficiency of a secondary language would be an added advantage
- Minimum 2 years experience in a 4 or 5 Star hotel
- Knowledge in WHMIS and MSDS
- Appreciation for a diverse, multi-cultural environment

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: Up to $25.00 per hour
