Let’s make a difference in fire protection—together. **Position Summary**: We’re seeking a **Shop Extinguisher Technician** to join our diverse and dynamic team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and organized individual eager to learn valuable skills in the fire protection industry. With the support of a highly skilled team and a collaborative work environment, you’ll be empowered to grow your career while contributing to essential community safety. **Primary Responsibilities**: - Perform maintenance and repairs on various types of extinguishers. - Organize shop resources, maintaining an efficient, well-structured workspace. - Oversee ordering and inventory management to ensure parts are available when needed. - Data entry for tracking of services provided on equipment and extinguishers. - Transport parts and equipment to and from various sites as needed. - Service tools and equipment where required. - Support shop organization and inventory management. - Coordinate with technicians and suppliers to facilitate timely and seamless parts pick-ups. - Ensure compliance with industry standards in alignment with our commitment to reliable and eco-friendly fire protection services. **Qualifications**: - A positive, team-oriented attitude with a strong eagerness to acquire new skills in the fire protection industry. - Mechanically inclined and physically able - with familiarity in using hand tools. - Adept problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Self-motivated and punctual - Effective verbal and written communication skills. - Valid **G Drivers License** with clean driving abstract. - Must be able to provide a **clear criminal record check** upon request. **What We Offer**: - **Training provided**: In-person and through our online education portal. - **Competitive Benefits**: Enjoy competitive wages, health and dental coverage, and access to insured work vehicles. - **Growth and Development**: Comprehensive training from industry experts - in person and through our online education portal.
