**In this role you will**:

- Support employees through their medical absence from work by determining benefits available through Employer disability plans
- Analyze, review and adjudicate STD and LTD claims
- Work with RWAM’s Rehabilitation Specialists to proactively put plans in place to support employee recovery and return to work
- Conduct thorough phone interviews to assess details of absences resulting in fair and informed claim decisions
- Coordinate independent medical examinations when required to support claims
- Liaise with Employers, Insurance Carriers and medical practitioners when necessary

**For this role you need**:

- Strong communication skills - You are an active listener with the ability to overcome difficult situations and conversations
- The ability to consider complex claims, medical details and contractual language
- The ability to assess supporting medical information and make timely decisions using your critical judgement
- A post-secondary degree, and/or healthcare background and/or related practical experience
- French language is an asset
