This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with the **Sr. Supply Chain Manager** in driving the company's procurement strategy, optimizing supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and services.
**Job Overview**
The **Procurement Manager** will oversee the entire procurement process, ensuring timely and cost-effective purchasing of goods and services. This role involves developing and implementing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and leading a team of procurement professionals. Working closely with the **Sr. Supply Chain Manager**, the Procurement Manager will help optimize purchasing and inventory management processes to align with the company’s supply chain goals.
**Responsibilities**
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company goals.
- Identify opportunities to optimize procurement processes, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
- Source and procure materials, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure the best prices and terms.
- Manage vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery of products and services.
- Analyze market trends to identify potential suppliers and new sourcing opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal departments to understand their procurement needs.
- Utilize GSS for tracking purchases, inventory levels, and supplier performance.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues that arise in the supply chain.
- Prepare reports on procurement activities for senior management.
- Work closely with the **Sr. Supply Chain Manager** to ensure the team’s efforts are aligned with overall supply chain strategies and goals.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field. A certification in procurement or supply chain management (SCMP, MSCM) is highly preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Proven experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable pricing.
- Familiarity with vendor management practices and sourcing strategies.
- Proficiency in using procurement systems.
- Excellent analytical skills to assess market trends and supplier performance.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments while managing multiple priorities.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective stakeholder engagement.
