**Our vision**: We are currently growing our team of renovation experts with the intention to maintain a small-business feel as we grow to capacity. Our current vision is to maintain 2 or 3 carpentry work crews, two manager positions, and one administrative position. Currently, our team consists of three full-time employees (one work crew and one Manager).

**The position**:We are looking for an experienced **Lead Carpenter** to coordinate multiple construction projects and supervise workers at construction sites. This position reports to the Project Manager. In this role, the Lead Carpenter will be responsible for supervising a small team of Apprentice Carpenters, Carpenters, and Subcontractors on multiple construction projects. They will perform a variety of duties relating to residential renovations, custom cabinetry installation, and finishing carpentry. Leadership skills and previous experience have provided the ability to direct the work of others and make quick decisions. The Lead Carpenter must be well-organized and favour safety above all. This position is ideal for someone who takes ownership of their role, can work independently and is results driven. Leadership activities will be supported by the Project Manager. In this position, there will be opportunities to learn, grow, and advance to management-level positions if desired.

**Required Skills & Qualifications**:

- 6 yrs construction industry experience
- 2 yrs residential renovation experience
- Experience leading a crew (task allocation and coordination, mentorship, etc.)
- Exceptional communication with crew, clients and project managers
- Able to problem solve and make decisions
- Strong commitment to personal and crew safety
- Exceptional eye for detail
- Professional (friendly, approachable, organized)
- Valid BC driver’s license
- Own vehicle
- Own hand tools
- Proficient in computers and project management software

**Preferred Skills & Qualifications**:

- First Aid certificate
- Red Seal

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $35.00-$42.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
