**Site Supervisor Job Description**
Position Overview
Plan, organize, and direct the activities of a construction project under the direction of a Project Manager.
**Responsibilities**:
- Works with the Project Manager and Project Coordinator to ensure implementation of Nitro Construction’s safety program, including integrating the safety program into all site plans and procedures and adhering to all safety and record-keeping requirements.
- Supervises, directs, coaches, trains, and mentors the project team, including direct and indirect reports.
- Communicates effectively with trades and ensures that performance, productivity, quality, and safety requirements are met.
- Consistently collaborates with construction Project Manager and Project Team. Proactively manages potential problems, work interferences, and schedule conflicts/setbacks.
- Liaises between field engineers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure construction complies with drawings and specifications.
- Liaises with client, other site contractors, and site and office representatives.
- Reviews and understands the contract and subcontracts scopes of work and develops a plan that identifies and mitigates risk and maximizes opportunities to ensure all financial targets, including budgets, forecasts, and profitability levels are met.
- Maintains project administration correspondence with the Project Coordinator and complies with documentation requirements.
- Other duties as required.
**Qualifications**:
- Must have a Journeyman Carpenter certificate.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in a field supervision role.
- Must have the ability to read blueprints.
- In depth knowledge and experience in the construction industry and company operations including building materials, construction specifications, and methods and procedures.
- Ability to coordinate multiple scopes of a construction project.
- Thorough understanding of contract language with the ability to identify and mitigate risks and identify leverage opportunities.
- Preference given to those with current Standard First Aid, WHMIS, Forklift Operator Training, Mobile Aerial Platform Training.
Pay: $24.00-$30.00 per hour
