**You as an Environmental Coordinator will**:

- Leadership with implementing EllisDon’s environmental policies, practices, and procedures at Toronto Civil construction projects.
- Coordination within multi-disciplinary environmental teams, including internal project resources and external consultants, in managing impacts of the works and meeting project deliverables.
- Perform site environmental inspections to verify and report on conformance with Environmental Management Plans.
- Exercise authority to stop work on any activities that may result in non-compliance with applicable laws and regulations or project-specific environmental commitments,
- Work cooperatively with project personnel to correct and prevent environmental issues that jeopardize the project’s conformance with the environmental program requirements as outlined in contracts, internal project-specific documents or corporate commitments
- Working within a formal Environmental Management System framework and supporting its maintenance and improvements
- Identify issues and concerns for corrective and preventative actions and record details in corrective and preventative action reports.
- Guide project teams through environmental permitting, development of and administration of the Environmental Management System and Environmental Management Plans
- Developing excel tracking sheets for environmental requirements within pursuits or project contracts as well as applicable jurisdictional environmental laws

**Is this the right role for you?**
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and experience working with regulatory agencies/conservation authorities in obtaining approvals and maintaining compliance.
- Knowledge and experience with a broad range of environmental aspects, risks and control measures associated with civil and infrastructure construction projects in and around sensitive areas
- 1 to 2 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a construction environment, considered an asset
- Knowledge and past experience with transit projects and/or infrastructure projects considered an asset
