Through the OnDeck Canada platforms, small businesses can obtain affordable lines of credit, loans and flex funds in a much more convenient and customer-friendly way.

**The opportunity**:
As an integral part of our Senior Management Team, the Vice President of Finance will play a vital role in shaping our business strategy. You will be instrumental in guiding our organization through the next growth phase, enabling us to capitalize on the significant opportunities ahead and expand our market share.

Your expertise and objective perspective will be unique as you challenge existing practices and drive positive change. You will be responsible for strategic planning, managing our operational and financial plans, and ensuring sound accounting practices. Additionally, you will manage relationships with financial institutions and investors.

Your role will involve collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure financial discipline and efficiency across the organization. You will provide strategic guidance and insights to the executive team, enabling informed decision-making and facilitating effective resource allocation.

Overall, as the leader of our financial activities, you will be a key driver of our company's financial performance and long-term success, ensuring that we maintain a strong financial position and capitalize on opportunities for growth.

**Get paid to**:

- Create company-wide operational and financial plans, aligning them with strategic objectives, and driving their successful execution
- Oversee and manage accounting and planning functions including financial close process, budget, operational plans, forecasting and cash-flow management
- Collaborate with senior and mid-level management in establishing, tracking, and analyzing KPI’s by functional area and for the organization as a whole
- Lead initiatives to optimize unit economics and maximize customer lifetime value and profitability
- Support Sales and Marketing in establishing and maintaining product pricing policies and overall objectives
- Assist in transaction negotiations and integrations as needed, including identifying and capitalizing on synergies
- Provide valuable assistance in all contract negotiations, leveraging financial expertise to secure favorable terms for the company
- Offer strategic input and leadership on capital allocation and investment decisions
- Act as a liaison with shareholders and lenders including delivery of comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting to maintain strong relationships
- Drive strong, commercially sound decision-making in the Company
- Foster financial discipline and control across Company culture, promoting adherence to best practices
- Establish and maintain a reliable system of internal controls, safeguarding company assets and providing accurate reporting on financial results

**About you**:

- 10+ years of functional experience in a financial role with expanding scope
- A minimum of CPA; CFA and/or MBA desirable
- Exposure to both external audit and in-house financial management experience in a high-growth organization
- Financial services and/or financial technology background preferred
- Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software; database/data warehouse skills desirable
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
- The ability to operate at a high level in a bilingual (French/English), flexible, and fast paced work environment
- The ability to work actively with team members in a hands-on management capacity
