**Responsibilities**:

- Calculate coordinates from drawings and specifications
- Perform preliminary, construct and update as-built drawings
- Work together with project managers and site superintendent to complete field survey requests, measurements, setup and configuring survey instruments
- Review and update all drawings that relate to the survey for completeness, consistency and feasibility of layout to ensure that all dimensions between corresponding drawings agree
- Operate and maintain surveying equipment
- Provide work control lines and elevations that are required for accurate measurement and correct installation of materials by field staff
- Provide quality control by checking for accuracy at all control points, benchmarks, grid-lines, survey marks, elevations and stakeout points. Will also monitor the site for correct elevations and locations.
- Assist in the evaluation of potential dimensions and other field problems
- Perform layout work competently and accurately
- Provide checking of as-built conditions that require the use of surveying techniques
- Maintain accurate notes, records and sketches to describe and certify work performed
- Requirements:

- Minimum 1 year of experience in construction layout.
- Comprehensive understanding of robotic total stations and Auto-CAD
- Construction and carpentry background is considered an asset
- Intermediate survey software and computer skills

**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $35.00-$48.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
