**Summary of the role**

Position #1 will take on a coordination role for our research project building community partnerships with care providers and Ontario Health Teams. We aim to optimize care delivery for adults with cardiac and associated mental health conditions in Eastern Ontario. The RC will coordinate a feasibility trial of our coproduced intervention with care providers in primary care, emergency department, and cardiac rehabilitation settings.

Position #2 will take on a coordination role in developing an evidence-base to inform retirement home policy development using an equity and diversity lens. The RC will lead interviews and focus groups of older adults and their caregivers from linguistic and ethno-cultural minority groups across Ontario to better understand the unfair differences that exist in access, choice, and care quality for people when they move from their private home to either a retirement home or a nursing home. This project will be sure to explore women’s experiences as they are the greatest users of care homes.

**Main duties and responsibilities**

Logistics
- Oversee the day-to-day activities of the research project with general supervision.
- Coordinate logistics for the research project, including facilitate meetings, establish project schedules, timelines, and resources.
- Assist with detailed planning, execution and monitoring of programmatic issues including: schedules, progress, coordination, deliverables, milestones and contracts

Financial Planning and Tracking
- Assist with the creation and justification of budgets based on grant contents
- Track and reconcile expenses against budget and projections of future expenses
- Assist with financial projections
- Draft service contracts and requisitions

Other Research Support
- Provide support on the development and implementation of knowledge transfer
- Correspond with external stakeholders and investigators
- Work with investigator and team to ensure a timely drafting and submission of reports, publications, presentations and grants

Human Resources
- Assist with recruitment of staff and students as required
- Provide leadership, supervision and support to staff and students as require

**Qualifications**
- Fluency in both French and English is required (position #1)
- A master’s degree in public policy, public health, health promotion, or a related discipline
- An interest in health research, community-based research, and community engagement
- 2+ years’ relevant leadership and/or project coordination experience, can be volunteer or extracurricular
- Strong attention to detail
- Exceptional communication skills, including written and verbal
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, manage overlapping project phases and meet deadlines
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills, including the ability to adapt to a dynamic project environment
- Position #1 is based in Ottawa. The successful applicant can do most day-to-day work remotely or be provided with office space at 85 Primrose Ave if desired. The successful applicant must be available to conduct in-person data collection, meetings, knowledge sharing, partnership building, etc. in Ottawa, Renfrew, and Cornwall on an as-needed basis
- Successful applicants must also be available to travel occasionally (3-4 times per year) to present research findings at academic conferences and mandatory in-person team meetings
