**Hastings Quinte Paramedic Services** is a progressive, forward thinking service providing emergency services to the entire County with fully staffed bases located in the urban centres as well as rural posts. HQPS prides itself on exceptional programs and process to ensure employee Health, Safety and Wellness. Initiatives include: an established Peer Support Group and a fully committed Wellness Committee.

HQPS provides many unique opportunities to enrich the professional development of our paramedics such inclusion on the **Emergency Response Team,**the **Difficult Access Response Team**, appointment to **Team Lead**positions and the provision of **on-site emergency services at community events** such as our new Belleville Senators Hockey Team home games.

**Qualifications**:

- Demonstrated full compliance with the qualification requirements of the Ambulance Act.
- Must have an Advanced Care Paramedic Certificate or Primary Care Paramedic Certificate from a recognized College.
- Must have successfully completed the Ontario Ministry of Health Advanced Care Certification Exam.
- Experience in an emergency medical service as an Advanced Care Paramedic is preferred.
