Psychotherapist (Lgbtq+)

**The Job**

We're looking to hire a Registered Psychotherapist or Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) to provide in-person counselling at 437 Gilmour Street in Centretown. Currently, we're offering office space on **Mondays** before 2pm and **Wednesdays**before 2:45pm**,**and **Thursdays** after 2:15pm. You're also welcome to offer virtual sessions on additional days of the week at times that are convenient for you.

All scheduling, billing, online sessions and client notes will be managed in _Jane_, and you will receive bi-weekly payouts for hours completed during the previous two weeks. You will receive a flat rate of $90 per session. And as an independent contractor we kindly request that you take responsibility for managing your own supervision if necessary. Note that practice owner Jeff Shepherd will be available for supervision starting January 2025.

**Location Requirements**
- Must live in or near Ottawa in order to provide in-person therapy on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

**Education & Professional Registration Requirements**
- Masters Degree in counselling or a related field
- Registered with the CRPO as a Registered Psychotherapist or Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

**Necessary Skills**
- Solid understanding of intersectionality, structural racism and anti-oppressive care
- Training in **Internal Family Systems Therapy, Psychodynamic** or **attachment** theory.
- Solid conceptualization and treatment skills for clients struggling with anxiety, depression and ADHD
- Able to conceptualize and help clients with a history of trauma, minor dissociation and mood disorders
- Experience working with queer clients and a solid understanding of sexual orientation, gender identities, process of transitioning, and gender affirming care.
- Practice IFS therapy
- Have experience with breathwork or other somatic-based activities or therapy
- Provide couples therapy

Pay: $90.00 per hour
