Manufacturing Technician

Nordic Minesteel Technologies (NMT) is seeking a motivated **Manufacturing Technician**to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for an ambitious position within a challenging and fast-paced environment.
- Produces components by assembling mechanical, electrical and hydraulic components
- Reads and deciphers schematics, blueprints and assembly instructions
- Positions or aligns components and parts, either manually or with hoists
- Uses hand tools or machines to assemble parts
- Conducts quality control checks
- Maintain equipment and tools by completing pre-use inspections
- Prepares work to be accomplished by studying parts list and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools and materials
- Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements
- Assembles components by examining corrections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies
- Verifies specifications by measuring completed component
- Maintain a self-motivated, positive, and outgoing attitude
- Follow all company safety procedures
- At all times, be part of the team
**Required Experience and Skills**
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in the use of computers and various software programs
- 1+ years of manufacturing experience in a manufacturing environment with hands on manufacturing and assembly functions
- Experience reading and understanding manufacturing drawings and other working documents
- Highly organized
- Can work independently with mínimal supervision
- Able to lift up to 22kgs or 50lbs
- Able to stand and walk throughout the shift
- Punctual, reliable and responsible
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in related field is an asset
Pay: $22.00-$30.00 per hour
