Salt Water Digital is a leader in Digital Marketing servicing small to mid-sized businesses across Canada and the United States. We help businesses grow by creating and implementing digital marketing strategies across platforms such as Google and Facebook. Our main focus is on paid advertising strategies, but we also offer SEO strategy as well as web & landing page design.

We are a member of 1% For the Planet which means 1% of all revenue generated is donated to charities and not-for-profits throughout the lower mainland. We typically tend to support environmental programs that are working to make a positive impact on the ocean.

We are a small team so finding the right person is important to us. We are looking for someone who takes the work seriously but doesn’t take themselves too seriously. We like to have fun and hope that our next hire will enjoy happy hours, playing Monopoly Deal and having awesome Christmas parties (we have been to Mexico and last year we went dog sledding in the Yukon).

We also value work/life balance and flexibility. We understand that sometimes you will need to work from home or need to leave work for an appointment. It is also cool if you tack on some remote working days (or 10) onto your vacation.

We recognize that compensation is important in an expensive city like Vancouver. Although we feel like our compensation is competitive, we're also aware that it could be better. We're actively doing what we can to improve compensation for employees and hope to pay higher salaries in the near future.

**Position Summary & Responsibilities**

While the role of Digital Marketing Coordinator will focus mainly on Google Ads & SEO, this position is still quite diverse in its responsibilities. During the training phase, you’ll be working behind the scenes conducting research and optimizing campaigns. Once trained responsibilities include account management, project management, and campaign creation. In this role, you will advise clients on search engine marketing and develop campaign strategies to achieve their unique business goals.

**Specific Skills & Abilities**

We understand that you may not have the experience or skillset to fulfill all responsibilities from the outset. We have an in-house training program on all platforms and will provide third-party skill advancement as well. The below skills are desired but not mandatory.
- A basic to advanced understanding of Digital Marketing
- A basic to advanced understanding of the Google Ad Platform
- A basic to advanced understanding of the Google Tag Manager
- A basic to advanced understanding of Search Engine Optimization
- A basic to advanced understanding of Web Design
- Attention to detail
- An openness to learn
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
- Project management skills
