**The Opportunity**
We’re looking for a reliable and safety-conscious **Painter/Sandblaster** to join our unionized team. In this role, you’ll operate specialized equipment to prepare metal surfaces for painting—ensuring our fabricated components meet top-quality standards before they head into the field. If you're experienced in sandblasting, enjoy hands-on work, and are ready to contribute to high-impact industrial projects, we want to hear from you.

**What You’ll Be Doing**
- Operate manual and automated sandblasting equipment to clean surfaces of vessels, structures, and header boxes
- Mask specified areas to protect from abrasion
- Inspect finished surfaces to ensure specifications are met
- Maintain and troubleshoot sandblasting equipment
- Rig, hoist, and move materials around the shop safely
- Work at heights and in confined spaces using ladders, scaffolding, and PPE
- Follow all safety protocols and quality requirements

**What You Bring**
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
- 3-5 years of sandblasting experience in heavy industrial or pressure welding environments
- Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Proven ability to work independently and follow instructions
- A team-oriented attitude with respect for safety, processes, and people
- Ability to read, write, and understand English

**Work Environment**
- Heavy industrial fabrication shop
- Physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, crawling, or kneeling
- Exposure to dust, noise, and confined spaces
- Rotating shifts (Days, Afternoons, Midnights as needed)
