Instrument Technician

Stuart Olson is searching for Journeyperson Instrumentation Technician to join our Maintenance team at NWR in Redwater. If you are looking to go home every night, earn a decent income and have steady, long term employment than this is the job for you.

**Responsibilities**
- Test troubleshoot and repair transmitters, switches, control valves.
- Calibrate and adjust set points on a variety of different instruments.
- Coordinate with control room to stroke and function test valves and dampers.
- Install and trouble tubing and air actuated instruments.
- Observe functioning of installed equipment or systems to detect hazards and need for adjustments, relocation or replacement.
- Repair faulty equipment or systems.
- Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and provide excellent customer service
- Understand and practice company policies and procedures.
- Maintain safe work practices.

**Qualifications**
- Certified Journeyperson Instrumentation ticket
- Industrial maintenance experience working on a petro-chemical facility is an asset
- Ability to take direction and follow through on instructions
- Positive attitude towards safety
- Ability to work collaboratively
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Superior focus on customer satisfaction
- Valid driver’s license
- Required Safety Tickets
- CSTS-20
- H2s Alive
- Fall Arrest an asset
- Confined Space an asset
- Aerial Work Platform an asset

**Working Conditions**
- Compliance to site Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol testing
- Reliable transportation
- CSA approved steel-toed safety boots will be required
- Working both indoors and outdoors in hot and cold weather conditions; in and around noise and dust
- Coveralls, safety glasses/goggles, hard hat and gloves are provided
- Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs; occasionally lift items weighing more than 50 lbs. with assistance
- Stand or walk for long periods of time and able to climb up and down ladders, scaffolds and other objects
