Parts Advisor

Pacific Honda has an opening for a progressive and motivated individual to join our Parts and Service Team.

Individual requires a very strong work ethic with a professional, courteous, customer focused background. Applicant must be experience in all facets of the Parts Department and be able to provide a verifiable track record with complete references.

**About the Opportunity**

As a Parts Department Representative you will sell and service our retail, wholesale and internal parts customers. You will have a sound understanding of vehicle mechanics and a working knowledge of parts department administration and inventory control. You will be enthusiastic in supporting a team atmosphere and have strong customer service skills with aptitude and experience in meeting deadlines.
Major Responsibilities:

- Sells parts through the wholesale shop, by phone, internet or over the counter to internal and external customers
- Assists customers in the selection of parts, suggests companion requirements and provides technical support.
- Provides parts quotes and other related parts information
- Retrieves parts from stock, prepares orders for delivery, shipping and pick-up.
- Supports the team and assists other employees and parts staff in their duties.
- Delivers and picks up items from clients and suppliers.
- Assists in the control of inventory, procurements, order tracking, data and file maintenance
- Develops and maintains rapport with clients and enhances the dealership's reputation by providing excellence in customer service
- Participates and masters training assignments, Honda Institute Parts Professional comprehensive lessons and the Provincial Red Seal program.

**Qualifications**
- Minimum of 2 years OEM parts department or automotive jobber experience with in-house counter service sales for technicians, service advisors and retail customers plus telephone sales with retail and wholesale accounts; including receiving and stocking items, body shop orders, placement of stock and customer special orders.
- Experienced in inventory control and in-house stock maintenance.
- Applicant must have a sound mechanical knowledge of the combustion engine, transmission, braking systems, electronics and all other automobile workings.
- Efficiently and accurately fulfills customer requests.
- Organizational ability to effectively handle large movements of daily paperwork, parts orders and workload pace. Able to prioritize and multi-task.
- Solid command of the English language and strong listening and communication skills.
- Is attentive to the needs of customers. Responds quickly and competently to customer requests and provides exceptional customer service.
- Sound computer literacy: i.e. internet, parts inventory systems (Reynolds & Reynolds, ADP). Excel and Word programme knowledge is an asset.
- Has a desire to provide leadership with other employees, is highly self-motivated and excels in supporting the team.
- Capable of unassisted light lifting (at least 50 pounds/23kg). Assistance provided on heavier items.
- Capable of standing during working hours. Manual dexterity for typing/keyboarding.

Wage is dependant on experience up to Red Seal Jouneyman Parts Technician Qualification.
