Alpha Commerce is a growing international freight forwarding company based in Montreal (Dorval) looking for a dynamic Freight Forwarding Quoting Specialist to join our team.

We are an independent freight forwarder established in 1992, with a complete range of services across the country. We secure and handle traffic for shipments in Canada, the USA and overseas.

Reporting to the Business Development Manager, the Freight Forwarding Quoting Specialist is responsible for the strategic pricing and preparation of freight quote opportunities arising from Customers and Partner Agents worldwide including: Ocean (FCL, LCL), Truck (FTL, LTL), Air Freight, Door to Door, White Glove deliveries, Customs Clearance, Trade Shows, and others. Focus will be on claims-free, on-time service, protection and growth of revenue and margin, while meeting and striving to exceed service expectations.
- Price and prepare freight quotes including but not limited to FTL, LTL, Ocean Freight (FCL, LCL), Air Freight, Trade Shows, Specialized Equipment.
- Price project requests, providing customers with innovative and cost-effective solutions.
- Negotiate rates with Carriers and International Agents.
- Source new carrier/supplier partners or agents when needed.
- Provide timely responses to quote inquiries from clients and partner agents.
- Assist the Business Development Manager to develop new opportunities as needed.
- Maintain positive relationships within the organization and with our external network to maximize opportunities.

**Qualifications**:

- 2+ years of experience in the transportation industry, or related experience.
- High School Education and specialized diploma in logistics, or related education.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written), French an asset.
- Knowledge of North American Carrier Network and cross-border shipping requirements an asset.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Experience with CargoWise or related software is considered an asset.
- Strong organization skills, communication, problem-solving, decision-making, teamwork, and analytical skills.
