Position Description: Clark Builders is hiring Architectural Cladders for work in Edmonton. This role will be responsible for the installation of various architectural metal roofing products.
Reporting to: Foreman or Superintendent
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Metal roof systems i.e.) standing seam and screw fastened.
- Air and Vapor barriers i.e.) Peel and Stick membranes, Torch on roof membranes.
- Install insulation.
- Roof and wall cladding retro-fit assemblies.
- Install, repair or replace standing seam metal roofs.
- Conventional metal roofing and liner assemblies.
- Install sheet metal flashings.
- Install pre-insulated metal foam panel systems.
- Install composite panel systems i.e.) aluminum composite material, plate aluminum, fiber cement and phenolic wood core panel systems.
- Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools.
- Custom architectural roofing products i.e.) sunshades and architectural louvers.
- Install primers, sub grits, flashing and caulking associated with the above noted architectural products.
- Maintaining a clean construction site.
- Maintain a daily log of tasks and hazard assessment cards.
- Represent Clark Builders in a professional and respectful manner.
- Adhere to Clark Builders policies and procedures.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Knowledge of building envelope and rain screen systems.
- Careful attention to detail and proper installation of cladding and roofing systems.
- The physical ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs., as well as performing repetitive motions, bending, crouching and/or kneeling for long periods throughout the day.
- The capability to work outside in extreme weather conditions depending on the season.
- The ability to work long hours while completing repetitive tasks.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years experience with the installation of Architectural Cladding products
- Valid first aid certificate an asset.
- Valid ESC Fall Protection, CSTS 2020 and WHMIS 2015 is an asset.
