Project Control Officer

**Responsibilities**:
As a Project Control Officer, you help plan and monitor projects to meet objectives on time and within budget. You work alongside the project manager and serve as the point of contact for the team to help them meet their performance objectives. You frequently coordinate and interact with stakeholders working in various fields.
You monitor the overall progress of the project and ensure it is being followed efficiently and effectively. You plan, prioritize and coordinate work to meet objectives. You anticipate issues and trends, suggest solutions, and ensure they are implemented. You use analysis and assessments to recommend innovative solutions.
- Assist project managers in supervising and monitoring projects, as well as evaluating progress and performance using reliable performance indicators
- Lead the Project Control team for projects, i.e. estimators, planners, cost controllers, project coordinators and document control officers
- Produce project control deliverables and oversee all activities related to schedule, budget and cost, scope of work, change notices, risks, trends, resource planning, variances, billing, etc.
- Produce project implementation plans and procedures or ensure that they are produced and updated
- Produce or supervise the required analyses and reports and present them regularly
- Ensure regular communication with project managers, project teams and clients
- Develop and update schedules for all phases of a project: pre-project study, engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning
- Planning, organizing and monitoring projects with tools such as Primavera P6 and PRISM G2
- Analyze critical path, risks and opportunities and make recommendations to the project director
- Generate progress reports and produce performance indicators
**Qualifications**:
- 7+ years of experience in a similar role ideally in the industrial or medical field
- ERP experience
- Extensive knowledge in cost control activities
- Bilingual (French and English) - Speak/Write/Read
- PMP certification or similar (preferred)
- Primavera P6, PRISM G2 or similar software
