Here is your chance to do the work you love in a NON-CORPORATE, all lady-run, independent veterinary hospital. Where? In uptown Toronto where TTC stops at the front door. Neighborhood? It's cosmopolitan, but has a small town feel that you'll love. Working hours? We have a morning and afternoon shift, and some weekend work. This alternates.

Our animal care attendant is off to school, so we need new staff. We are offering a permanent, full-time position. You already have an ACA certificate or equivalent, but you want to learn more. To do more. You can do it here. We’re an AAHA-accredited small animal veterinary hospital with FearFree certified staff. We’re also Cat Friendly. That should tell you how much we care about pets _and_ staff.

You must be able to speak Portuguese or Spanish. You hold an ACA certificate or Veterinary Assistant certificate from an accredited college, preferably Seneca, and have several years of experience working in a veterinary hospital.

You will assist the vet techs and vets with treatments and animal restraint. You will administer medication to dogs and cats. You will also take care of the ward and surgical equipment. Custodial work is involved to maintain hospital cleanliness.

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 43 per week
