As the Clinical Field Specialist, you are a licensed practical nurse in good standing with the Canadian Licensed Practical Nurse Association (CLPNA). You will support, train, and promote clinical best practices, and drive quality improvement solutions in collaboration with site-based management teams.

**Responsibilities**
- Audit Compliance - Operationally ensures a day-to-day state of clinical preparedness in the Alberta Division
- Assists with root cause analysis of non-compliance along with site level corrective action initiatives
- In collaboration with the Director of Clinical Quality and the Quality Assurance Manager, engages in root cause analysis to identify quality improvement solutions and change mechanisms
- Onboarding new Health & Wellness Managers
- Supporting Health & Wellness Managers in training & development of front-line clinical teams
- Supports General Managers onsite in the absence of a Health & Wellness Manager
- Supports the clinical teams in the absence of registered clinical staff on duty
- Assists the Director of Clinical Quality in tracking, trending, and addressing Clinical Quality Indicators
- Works collaboratively with 3rd party clinical contractors to ensure adherence to Optima Living Clinical best practices across the Alberta platform
- Assists in the assessment of property(s) leadership pipeline through the human capital review process
- Makes staffing decisions to manage the talent cadre and pipeline within our communities
- Uses evaluation data to design/re-design quality programming to meet the needs of the Optima resident population
- Understands associate and resident satisfaction results and assists in developing site action plans to address needed areas and build on strengths
- Taskforce - pre-opening projects, leadership transitions
- Out of town travel required - min of 30%
- Other duties as assigned to support operational requirements

**Qualifications and Experience**
- Minimum of five (5) years’ clinical experience
- Leadership experience is required
- Completion of nursing diploma
- Registered with provincial nursing association and in good standing
- Experience in a residential care setting is preferred
- Demonstrate infection control procedures
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with peers, residents, visitors and operational partners
- Superior organizational, oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrate the ability to prioritize and problem solve
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts
