Dispatch Operator

**Duties**
- Dispatch, route, and trip plan drivers for inbound and outbound shipments within North America and determine the most cost-efficient routes.
- Successfully plan and schedule drivers, truckloads and routes.
- Accept load tenders, book delivery appointments and schedule pick up dates and time.
- Ensure effective utilization of Company’s equipment and resources.
- Communicate specific freight requirements and procedures to drivers.
- Handle customer inquiries in a timely, professional manner.
- Call customers to advise shipment delays and/or information necessary to process orders, border crossings, and receipt of custom documents for clearance.
**Skills And Qualifications**
- Must have at least 6 months of dispatching experience
- Must have knowledge of the following: Outlook, Adobe PDF, Microsoft Suite with experience working with dispatching software like LoadLink being an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and ability to prioritize tasks as per importance.
- Positive attitude with good people skills. Strong ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines
- Strong organizational skills, ability to communicate over the phone be persuasive and energetic
- Be available after hours (on-call rotation)
- Fluent in English, bilingual is an asset
**Salary**: From $31,000.00 per year
