Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Lead Carpenter/ Site Lead to join our construction team. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively with a team. We work in many areas of the province and as such travel time is paid. This would be an excellent opportunity for either a young adult who would like to find a career path or seasoned outdoor construction professional. This is a labour intensive position due to the hole digging aspect.
Must haves:
- Ability to get to site
- outdoor construction experience
- Extensive carpentry experience
- Experience building both decks and fences
**Duties**:
- Installation of fences, pergolas and decks of various materials
- Dig holes both with machinery and by hand when necessary
- Measure, cut, and shape materials according to specifications
- Setting posts in concrete
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
**Skills**:
- Previous experience as a Lead Carpenter is a strong asset
- extensive knowledge of carpentry
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately while being able to direct helpers
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 50 per week
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
**Experience**:
- Carpentry: 3 years (required)
- Outdoor Construction: 1 year (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Driving Licence (required)
