**Civil Construction Estimator**

**Sterling Excavation & Contracting Ltd.** is looking for a talented and experienced **Civil Construction Estimator** to join our team. We're a growing company dedicated to excellence in all aspects of civil construction, and we need a detail-oriented professional to help us accurately bid on new projects and secure future business.

**Responsibilities**
- **Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates** for a wide range of civil construction projects, including site work, utilities, roadwork, and land development.
- **Analyze project plans, specifications, and other bid documents** to determine the scope of work and potential risks.
- **Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers** to obtain competitive bids and pricing for materials and services.
- **Conduct site visits** as needed to better understand project conditions and constraints.
- **Manage the entire bidding process** from initial inquiry to final submission, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- **Work closely with project managers and field staff** to hand off successful bids and support project execution.
- **Maintain and update a database of costs** for labor, materials, and equipment.

**Qualifications**
- **Proven experience as a civil construction estimator,** with a minimum of 5 years in a similar role.
- **Strong knowledge of civil construction processes, materials, and equipment.**:

- **Proficiency in estimating software** (e.g., HeavyBid, B2W Estimate) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- **Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.**:

- **Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical documents.**:

- **Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.**:

- **Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.**:

- **A degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.**
