Sarens Canada is currently recruiting for Riggers based out of Fort McMurray, AB. **As a Rigger, your roles and responsibilities will include**: - Perform site inspections of assembly/lifting area while ensuring area is free of obstacles - Perform work in a safe and efficient manner. - Identify work place hazards and mitigate / eliminate risks - Review equipment components for damages and correctly (un)load parts from transport - Layout mats and equipment for Jack & Slide operations. - Assist in the demobilization/mobilization of Equipment - Manage and maintain rigging material by: - Ensuring that materials are tidy, greased, and oil - Performing visual inspection of materials and report and damages - Filling in and passing maintenance checklists - Maintains administrative duties such as: - Completing Timesheets / Work orders Daily - Regularly checking material and eventual accessories (oil and fuel levels, first aid kits, fire extinguisher, walkie talkies) - Reports the work on site and attend work meetings regarding safety aspects surrounding cranes - Working towards an apprenticeship at a technical institution or equivalent experience - Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English - Basic knowledge of mechanics and Equipment capacities regarding: - Ability to correctly sling a complex load - Assist in the assembly and deconstruction of cranes / Equipment and possibly work with a telehandler - Committed to prevention and zero workplace accidents - Disciplined and committed to quality - Flexible - Loyal, honest and sincere - Collaborative in their approach to working with people, both individually and in a group **Salary**: $40.00-$43.00 per hour Schedule: - 8 hour shift - Day shift - Night shift
